The worst present I am writing about wasn't one bought for me. It was one bought for my two sons, by my ex-boyfriend's parents.
He and I had lived together for almost a year, and his parents had known my kids for that long. He also had 3 of his own kids. Two of them lived with us, and I took care of them, basically without any of his help.
When Christmas day came, I had his entire family at my house and did ALL the cooking, etc. by myself. When it came time to open the presents - and his parents had brought alot of presents with them - we passed them out and there was only one present for my two oldest boys. It had both their names on the tag. I was already shocked, but figured it was something nice.
When it was their turn to open it, it was a $5.00 Yahtzee game for both of them! Now I know its the thought that counts, but when his kids opened their presents from his parents, they had bought them approx. $75.00 worth of stuff EACH. My kids were only around 9 and 10 years old, so this hurt them very much, since they didn't understand it at all.
But hey, it beat what they got my youngest son: NOTHING. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I had a MAJOR fight after all the guests had left!
